Great Lakes Dredge & Dock is seeking a Financial Business Systems Analyst to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will collaborate with corporate business users and IT team members to translate business needs in to finance system solutions. You will support the implementation, testing, administration, and ongoing maintenance of our financial systems and databases. You will also work with end users and assist with budgeting, forecasting, period-end reports, and presentations.
Essential job functions:
- Define and document business requirements and functional specifications from business users and subject matter experts
- Write test plans and/or perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and functional testing of new solutions
- Perform business process analysis and design workflows, including “current state” and “future state” process mapping
- Collect timely feedback from stakeholder groups and ensure requirements and specifications are being met through the solutions being built
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, ad hoc analysis, period-end reports, and presentations
- Ongoing maintenance and end user support of our financial systems and databases
- Perform interface analysis, including proper mapping of how the technology infrastructure and systems share data to achieve business goals
- Provide insight for the user interface with financial systems
- Assess and mitigate risks in financial systems and related controls
- Additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, information systems, or similar discipline
Preferred experience
Experience with ViewPoint, OnBase, and Cognos software products (Planning Analytics/TM1) is a plus
